The funky, cosmopolitan city of Cape Town is rated by many as the most beautiful city in the world. Sheer mountain cliffs rise up above a vibrant, cosmopolitan city, surrounded by turquoise blue ocean and white sand beaches. A 350 year old castle stands guard over a bustling waterfront, looking out over Robben Island which invokes the spirit of Madiba and reminds us of our rich history and spirit of the rainbow nation. These symbols of heritage and diversity are where South African people from all walks of life can play, live, shop, dine and work. Summer in Cape Town boasts afternoons lazing in the sun, cocktails watching the sunset, and lots of fun outdoors. There's something for every age and budget.

With scenic views of the wetlands, ocean and a biodiversity garden, the Green Point Urban Park surrounds 2 world class sports stadiums. To afford our community, of all levels of fitness, the unique opportunity to swim, cycle and run, with friends and family, within such an exciting setting is the dream. What a way to experience the jewel of Africa, either solo or in a team, than the Cape Town Triathlon!

The short but challenging and safe 750m canal swim, in a commercial harbour set in the midst of a huge entertainment venue with restaurants, craft markets, theatres, aquarium and much more, is only step 1 of a fun and healthy morning out.

The newly developed Battery park with its incredible inner city and Table mountain backdrop is a magic space to gather and feel the pre race excitement, before we hop into the canal and swim, in clean salt water, through high rise buildings to the One & Only hotel and V&A Aquarium.

Endorphin-loaded, smiling participants then ditch wetsuits & dash through the tunnel to a fantastically located Graduate School of Business transition platform, grab their bikes and head past Deloittes into the GreenPoint precinct for the flat and fast 20km ride of their lives. Riders enjoy traffic free bliss exploring the magic beachfront, with waves crashing into shore just meters away, as they take in the World Cup Stadium, the Sea Point pool and Robben Island among other world heritage sites.

Just as legs and smiles begin to fade, athletes hop off their bikes at the Green Point athletics stadium and start a fun, fast and flat 5km run through the immaculate gem of Green Point Park. Passing manicured lawns, statues, fish ponds and the golf course, makes the final leg bearable before they enter the buzzing blue tartan arena inside the superb athletics stadium to complete a 400m glory lap, before emotionally arriving at the vibey finish line to receive applause and hard earned bragging rights, finish photo & medal.

Let's make magic happen - our beautiful city and her proud people deserve it.
