Giant launches the all-new Anthem Advanced SL

Giant has lifted the curtain on its next-generation Anthem — the Anthem Advanced SL — unveiled globally on Tuesday evening. The long-running cross-country race platform has been reimagined from the ground up, carrying forward the Anthem’s racing heritage while adapting to modern XC demands.

If the bike looks familiar, that’s because it is. South African rider Alan Hatherly piloted the new Anthem Advanced SL to his 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championship title earlier this year — a dominant ride that gave the world its first proper look at Giant’s unreleased race machine.

The same model that carried Hatherly to the rainbow stripes will be available in South Africa early next year, with stock expected to land toward the end of January.

While full technical details and specs are available on Giant’s official site, early images show a sleek carbon frame design that blends stiffness, efficiency, and control — the same traits that have made the Anthem name a fixture on the XC start line for nearly two decades.
