The Autumn edition of RUN Mag is on shelves nationwide!

It’s almost 150 large-format pages and weighs over half a kilogram—a powerhouse of motivation, inspiration, and education on the sport that keeps you healthy and happy.

Yes, the days are getting shorter and the weather is cooling down, but the runs are getting longer, and the pace is picking up! šŸšŸ‡æšŸ‡¦šŸ„³

This weekend marks the official start of the ultra-distance racing season. The Two Oceans MarathonĀ is over 50 years old, with more than 20,000 runners lucky enough to secure an entry. Athletes will be racing distances from 5km to 56km, starting from UCT.

We have a feature on how to accurately pace your 56km or 21km raceĀ to hit your goal time—whether you're chasing an elusive silver sub-4hr finish or aiming to complete the race in 7.5 hours to qualify for Comrades. Take note of your key splits and set your watches!

We also produced the official Totalsports Two Oceans Digimag, which you may find useful—even if you’re just a fan looking forward to watching it on TV. Check it out here: https://joom.ag/iNjd.

Whether you're tackling the ultra-doubleĀ or just prepping for Comrades, we have expert advice from the guru Lindsey Parry—essential reading before you push through too many long, hard runs. There’s a science to it—manage your body wisely to enjoy your best Down RunĀ on June 8.

If you're not quite ready for ultra-distance road running, don't worry—we have plenty of coffee-table contentĀ to keep you inspired. From trails to shorter distances, every story is brought to life with powerful, emotive imagery—something we're known for in our large-format, square-back magazine.

Our cover interviewĀ with flower-powered eco-warrior Jazmine LowtherĀ is a reminder that time outdoors is one of the most physically and mentally rewarding parts of running. The muscular winner of UTCT 100kmĀ shares a powerful message on the importance of multisportĀ and pursuing what you love.

RUN Mag is proudly South African—created by South Africans, for South Africans. While we feature races, places, and faces from around the world, our stories are always told by fellow SaffasĀ who get you. Yeah, we’re a special tribe! šŸšŸ‡æšŸ‡¦šŸŒ½

In this edition:šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø Two best mates take us through their fascinating journey of running 35 marathons in 35 days across SA.ā›°ļø We follow Matt DoveĀ as he tackles the magical and brutal Sani PassĀ on an unthinkable double Everesting attempt.šŸŒ We travel with fleet-footed SaffasĀ to Patagonia and the Gobi DesertĀ for some truly remote adventures.

And that’s just the beginning! Our regular race calendarĀ is packed with options for your next big goal. There are so many beautiful places to run.

A race goalĀ is a great way to stay motivated and disciplined, but we also need to manage our bodies mindfullyĀ to enjoy running for the long term. Read Coach Fred Richardson’s hard-earned wisdom—it could make all the difference.

We also dive into running shoes, testing some of the best options to save you time and moneyĀ while helping you choose wisely.

On the nutritionĀ front, expert dietitian and former elite athlete Kirsten FlanaganĀ takes a deep dive into supplements—find out what you should use or lose.

These are just some of the highlights in our Autumn edition. We had an absolute blast putting together this beefy 150-page keepsake, and we hope you enjoy every page. At just 70 cents per well-researched, glossy page, we hope our sweat and tearsĀ will save you from someĀ šŸ˜….
