Toyota Tour de Virtuale Goes Next Level!

Toyota's first-ever ecycling tournament, Tour de Virtuale, was very well received. Riders all over SA smashed watts from the comfort of their own homes for a chance to join celebrity riders and a spot on the elite Toyota CRYO RDT team.

The successful launch tournament saw premium brands line up to add huge value to riders taking part in season 2. Masters SA, BikeConnect, Specialized Bicycles, Toyota CRYO RDT, and Wahoo join Toyota in the quest to unearth talent and grow cycling and esports on a global scale.

Increased representation from African nations riding at an elite level in esports is a goal that we support and salute Toyota for investing in!

Riders in the Toyota Tour de Virtuale season 2, brought to you by Masters SA, will be racing for the these men’s and women’s respective prizes:

1st place: R10 000 Cash + the chance to ride with Toyota CRYO RDT

2nd place: R2 500 cash

3rd place: R1 000 cash

There's an additional R58 000 worth of Toyota, Specialized and Wahoo prizes to be won in respective Age Groups. If that doesn't tempt you we give up!

If you're new to online riding don't stress. Community rides led by Toyota CRYO RDT and South Africa’s top cyclists will bring you up to speed before the real racing begins.

After these intro rides, ecyclists will go through 5 rounds of knockout races in their respective pain caves, with all races being live-streamed. At the end of the 5th round, the remaining power house ecyclists progress to the finals.

The finals will be an in-person live event held at the Specialized Paarl store in Cape Town. An exhibition race, featuring well known personalities from the cycling world, will be the undercard for the main races between the aspiring Toyota Tour de Virtuale men’s and women’s champions. It's gonna be a jol!
