We have all heard of Clarens and seen cool pics of people hiking, running and riding among the massive granite rocks in the remote grasslands of the Northern Free State. That said, most of us haven't been there, but when you do go you wonder what took so long. Its not far from Gauteng and truly is a magical area for a healthy outdoor weekend away.
We loved the scenic drive from Bloem and the spaces we explored trail running were unique, it's trail utopia.
Clarens is the home of Titanic Rock, an iconic landscape feature that welcomes you as you arrive in the village.
The Titanic Challenge Trail Run is your ideal opportunity to run supported distances that suit you and your family or friends as you safely traverse this magnificent outcrop.
The trails are maintained by the Clarens Village Conservancy to give you the best views that Clarens offers, while the event proceeds go to them for the upkeep of the trails and reserve. Do good while having fun!
The Clarens Village Conservancy have been the guardians of the reserve since 2004. This magical area provides a platform for the families of visitors and residents from all walks of life to indulge in wholesome activities such as hiking, mountain biking and fishing in some of South Africa's most splendid scenery.
