Meet team Toyota Specialized's terrifying yet tenderhearted talent, Matt Beers

Matt Beers is somewhat of an enigma, always feared by rivals for his sheer horsepower and insane winning record.

Despite his young age, at not yet 30, the Toyota Specialized team rider has seemingly won everything. The lanky, long haired guy who calls a spade a spade knows one style of riding only and that's full gas from the gun. From 2 Cape Epic wins to multiple SA Championship jerseys in mountain bike marathon and cross country, road and gravel formats, the guy is our most successful versatile rider. He's an intimidating prospect but under the hood a soft heart beats which is worth getting to know. He's been at crossroads in his career choosing a format that best suits him, including a sojourn at World Tour road cycling team UAE, and is now seeing an exciting prospect in the UCI World Gravel series he raced for the first time this year.

Could 2024 be his year for both a new life as a married man plus a world title? Sit back and hear from this bike behemoth about his life looking back and ahead.
