A tough, dependable trail shoe built for stability and grip
The Agility Peak 6 keeps that rugged, technical trail look the series is known for, but feels slightly more refined compared to the 5. It still looks built for tough terrain, with an aggressive outsole and protective upper, but the overall package feels a bit more dialled-in and purposeful. It’s not a flashy shoe, but it gives off that “ready for anything” trail vibe straight away. My size 45 weighed in at 280g.

The upper feels durable and trail-ready, with a breathable mesh that balances protection and ventilation well. Fit felt secure and slightly more dialled-in compared to the Agility Peak 5, particularly through the heel, which feels more locked in and confident on uneven terrain. Through the midfoot, the hold is solid, and the forefoot feels snug without being overly restrictive. Overall, it feels like a more secure and refined fit than the previous version.
Underfoot, the Agility Peak 6 continues with a protective, trail-focused setup rather than chasing softness or bounce. With roughly 38mm in the heel, around 30mm in the forefoot, and an 8mm drop, the shoe offers plenty of cushioning for long miles while still maintaining a stable, grounded feel.
There’s a rock plate built in, which adds confidence on technical terrain, especially over rocks and uneven surfaces. Compared to the 5, the ride feels slightly firmer and more controlled, with a little more emphasis on stability than softness.
On the run, this is a shoe that feels at home on rougher terrain. It’s stable and gives you confidence when the terrain gets more technical, happy ticking over rather than trying to feel fast. It’s not built to feel fast – it’s built to feel solid.
The outsole is a real standout, with Vibram Megagrip rubber and aggressive 5mm lugs that bite into loose ground, mud and rock with confidence, giving a very secure feel.
Verdict: The Agility Peak 6 feels like a reliable, do-it-all trail shoe. It’s the kind of shoe I’d reach for when the terrain is technical, and I want something stable and protective rather than light and fast. – Justin Howes
